So that's how we began our new lives on the moon. Ham and I spent alot of time making sure our moonbase was in good working order. Remember, a moonbase isn't just a house, it's really a super recycling center! We both made sure our garden was always very healthy, so we would always have good air to breath and good vegetables to eat. In time, we made our moonbase much bigger, and then other members of the Space Rodent Rangers came up to join us. Before we knew it, we had to get a new name for ourselves, now we're the Space Pet Rangers. These days, Captain Perry Keet does regular trips between the earth and the moon. We even found out that Benny "Catfish" Barnacle, the old tomcat, is actually a vegetarian! He hadn't wanted to eat us after all! He had just been very curious about our undersea base. Go figure! Now he lives with us up here on the moon too. He is our moonbase's expert chef.
Soon we will begin construction of a new project here on the moon.
We are going to build a special electric train on the far side of the moon,
right along the moon's equator. This train is super special, and
super fast! In fact, it will go so fast that it will be used to launch
spaceships into orbit. It will even be used to launch spaceships
directly to mars, or to the asteroids, and even to the outer planets!
The nifty part is that the train will run on good old electricity.
Nobody will have to use lots of rocket fuel to go into the far reaches
of outer space! The train is called a 'maglev' train, and you will
hear a lot more about it in the future.
We hope you liked our story so far, and I hope we'll see you again in
the future. Maybe someday, we'll even meet up here on the moon!
